We have successfully concluded the project on functionalizing, capacity building and empowerment of Women`s Network of Kosovo Police Union. These activities were planned and implemented throughout the last three months of 2018.
The Regional Conference of women`s sections of the KPU was held on 20th of October. This Conference was supported by Olof Palme International Center (OPIC) and Friedrich Ebert Stiftung (FES). The Conference was focused on the topic: “The rights and positions of women in the Kosovo Police and the protection of their rights at work”. One of the aims was also to strengthen cooperation and experience exchanging with women`s sections of regional police unions.
Delegations of women`s sections of police unions from Montenegro, Croatia, Albania, Macedonia, BSPK and other national labor unions.
As a follow up of the Conference, supported by Olof Palme International Center, two information sessions have been held with representatives of women unionists. The first information session was held on 26th of November 2018 in Pristina and the second session was held on 1st of December 2018 in Gjakovo. In these two sessions, representatives of all union branches have been involved.
